$1M Mega Million ticket sold in Arizona 

The first lottery ticket sale from Arizona state started on  July 1, 1981, 42 years ago. The minimum age to play the Arizona lottery is  21 years. The minimum age was 18 until June 1, 2003. 

The Arizona Lottery is a state agency of Arizona in the southwest United States. Arizona state lottery is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL).

Arizona became the first state west of the Mississippi River to adopt a lottery when a statewide public initiative passed easily in November 1980. 

In 2002, 73% of voters passed the lottery for another ten years. In 2010, the Lottery was extended into 2035.

There's no winner for the largest Mega Millions jackpot yet, but someone in Arizona just won $1 million in a Friday night drawing.

The ticket was purchased at Circle K in Prescott near Willow Creek and College Heights roads.

If anyone wants to win a small prize, the numbers were 5, 10, 28, 52, and 63, and the Mega Ball was 18.

That $940 million prize has now rolled to $1.5 billion for Tuesday night's drawing.

According to Mega Millions lottery officials, The Mega Millions jackpot is the fourth-largest in the game's history and the 7th largest jackpot in the world's history.

 Mega Millions odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 302.6 million.

Winners can also be subjected to state and federal taxes on lottery winnings.

Mega Millions is offered in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
