$50,000 worth of Powerball ticket sold in New York

According to lottery officials, a worth $50,000  Powerball ticket was sold in New York City. $50,000 is the third prize of Powerball.

On July 31 drawing, the winning ticket for the third prize was sold. The winning ticket was sold at a deli at 902 Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn. 

On Wednesday, the New York lottery announced the Powerball third prize winner.


The winning numbers for the July 31 Powerball drawing were white balls 2, 11, 48, 58, and 65 and a red Powerball number was 13.

The winner can select numbers from 1 to 69 for the Powerball game. 

 The red Powerball number can be selected from 1 to 26 from a separate field.

In order to win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number.

Players can be purchased Powerball tickets at any New York Lottery retailer.

The Powerball lottery ticket cost $2 each and can also be purchased seven days a week. The deadline for purchasing a ticket is 10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m. New York Lottery advises players to buy tickets early before the deadline.

Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.
